Detailed Solution

Sulh-i kul, an Arabic phrase that refers to a Sufi mystic ideal, literally means "peace with everyone," "universal peace," or "perfect peace."
Akbar, the third Mughal Emperor of India (reigned 1556–1605), used the term to denote a coexistence of several religions in harmony and peace. Akbar put forth the idea of sulh-i kul, or the unification and peace of all people, to bring together the disparate communities of his kingdom. The idea suggests not only tolerance but also the kinds of equilibrium, politeness, respect, and compromise needed to keep peace among diverse people. Sulh-i kul was first employed in the Mughal court and among various Sufi movements in India during the reign of Akbar and occasionally after.
