What is the approximate number of eggs laid by a silk moth?

Silk is obtained from the cocoon that is made by silkworms. A healthy female silk moth lays about 300-400 eggs at a time. These eggs hatch and the caterpillars or the silkworms come out and enter into the larval stage.
