What is the approximate percentage of the Earth covered by terrestrial hotspots?

Biodiversity hotspots are the Earth's most biologically rich yet threatened terrestrial regions. There are a total of 34 biodiversity hotspots found in the world, and these have been divided into terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems or hotspots. The percentage of aquatic hotspots are more in number as compared to terrestrial hotspots. Hence, it was noted in a survey that only 1.5% or less than 2% of the Earth are covered by terrestrial hotspots.
