Detailed Solution

The SI system is the modern, expanded version of the MKS system that adds more base units and rules for all kinds of measurements.

SI (International System of Units) extends MKS (metre–kilogram–second) by including additional base quantities like ampere, kelvin, mole, and candela. Both systems use the metre for length, kilogram for mass, and second for time.

The MKS system stops there, while the SI system standardizes all scientific measurements under a complete, globally accepted set of seven base units.
