Detailed Solution

Lack of internal democracy, dynastic succession, and the growing role of money and muscle power is the challenge faced by political parties.
As political parties are much related to people, they face many challenges. Let us study the challenges faced by political parties.
1)      Lack of Internal democracy within parties - Most of the parties though they believe in democracy. The concentration of power is in the hands of one or two leaders at the top. Political parties do not conduct regular internal elections and do not hold meetings. This factor leads the political party to face this challenge.
2)      Dynastic Succession - The leaders sit in a good position in the party - rather than selecting from an election they favour their family members. Hence, the members who are working for the party won't get the opportunity.
3)      The expanding importance of money and force in political parties - Most parties concentrate on employing financial might to win elections. Since they require money to run for office, they only support candidates who have a strong fundraising capacity. It makes qualified persons less likely to become societal leaders.
