Kinetic energy (KE) is the energy that a body possesses as a result of its motion.

K.E=12mv2

Here m = mass of the body and v= velocity of the body

Due to the fact that the kinetic energy is exactly proportional to the square of the velocity. Therefore, if the velocity doubles, the kinetic energy would also double (a square of twice gives four). There is no change in mass since we have a cycle whose mass will not alter.
