What is the consequence of using fossil fuels on the ecosystem?

The usage of Fossil fuels causes a lot of environmental damage and lead to Global Warming, Oil Spill, and Acid Rain.

When fossil fuels are burned, one of the most significant gas is released i.e.,  carbon dioxide, which traps heat in the earth's atmosphere causing global warming. 
Oil spills,  leave waterways and their surrounding shores uninhabitable for some time. Such spills often result in the loss of plant and animal life.
In industries when a chemical process happens gases like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are discharged into the atmosphere leading to acid rain. These substances have the ability to ascend very far into the sky, where they combine and react with oxygen, water, and other chemicals to produce acid rain.
