It extends from 6° 44’ N to 35° 30’ N latitudes and from 68° 7’ E to 97° 25’ E longitudes. India extends from the north end of Kashmir to the south end of Kanyakumari and from the west end of Gujarat to the east end of Arunachal Pradesh. From north to south, there is a distance of 3214 kilometres. The east-to-west extent of India is 2933 kilometers. In total, it has an area of around 3,287,263 square kilometres.
