What is the entrance point for food into the body?

The mouth, also known as the oral cavity, is the entrance point for food into the body.

Food enters the mouth through the lips, is chewed by the teeth, and is mixed with saliva before being swallowed and passing into the stomach via the pharynx and oesophagus. The cheeks are also a part of the mouth, but they do not serve as a food entry point. They help to keep the food in the mouth while chewing and aid in the swallowing process.

The buccal cavity, also known as the vestibule, is the space in the mouth between the teeth, lips, and cheeks. It is the area of the mouth that is not occupied by teeth and gums.
