Here, we have to find the formula for the total surface area of the hemisphere.
Consider r to be the radius of a hemisphere.
 Total surface area of a hemisphere = flat surface area +curved surface area.
As we know that, the curved surface area of a hemisphere =2πr2and flat surface area =πr2 Thus, total surface area of a hemisphere =2πr2+πr2=3πr2 .
