Slant height of the conical tin = 50 cm  .
By using Pythagoras theorem,
l 2 = r 2 + h 2 (50) 2 = (30) 2 + h 2 2500=900+ h 2 h 2 = 2500900 h 2 =1600 h=40 cm  
Thus, the height of the conical tin is 40cm.
