Detailed Solution

There are various limitations of the consumer movement, such as it being expensive, cumbersome, and time-consuming.
Consumer Movement act is a social force with the necessity of protecting and promoting consumer rights from the malpractices and unfair trade prevalent in the manufacturing sector. Rampant food shortages, hoarding, black marketing, and adulteration in edible oil and food require a need of Consumer Movement. Until the 1970s, consumer organizations were largely engaged in writing articles and holding exhibitions. But this has various limitations, such as it being very time-consuming. As we can see, only writing articles and exhibitions took a great time. It was also cumbersome and difficult to manage. Holding exhibitions and creating awareness also took up a lot of money and were very expensive.
