The line segment within the circle joining any 2 points on the circle is called the chord.
The chord of a circle can be defined as the line segment joining any two points on the circumference of the circle.
It should be noted that the diameter is the longest chord of a circle that passes through the center of the circle.
If the radius and the distance of the center of the circle to the chord are given, the chord of the circle can be calculated.
We just need to apply the chord length formula.
Chord length $= 2 \sqrt{r^{2} - d^{2}}$
Where 'r' is the radius of the circle and 'd' is the perpendicular distance from the center of the circle to the chord.
