Detailed Solution

The site Kalibangan - literally "black bangles" - gets its name from the dense distribution of black bangle fragments discovered on the surface of its mounds. Kalibangan is an ancient Indus Valley civilization site in northern Rajasthan state, northwest India.
The site contains both pre-Harappan and Harappan remains, and the transition between the two cultures can be seen there. It is also said to have been founded in the geographical triangle formed by the Drishadvati and Saraswati Rivers' confluence. Kalibangan is known for its unique fire altars and the "world's earliest attested ploughed field." Around 2900 BC, the Kalibangan region developed into what can be considered a planned city.
