The “Deluxe Pythagorean Theorem” says that if there are three sides given, , b and c of a rectangle given, then according to the theorem, a2+b2+c2=d2.
Now, according to the question,
a=120 inches
b=90 inches
c=80 inches
 Therefore,
a2+b2+c2=d2
(120)2+(90)2+(80)2=d2
14400+8100+6400=d2
d2=28900
d=28900
d=170
Therefore, the longest diagonal of the rectangular box is: 170 inches.
