Detailed Solution

The Malpighian body is a structure in the kidney that helps filter blood to form urine. Also called the renal corpuscle, it consists of two parts: the glomerulus (a cluster of tiny blood vessels) and Bowman's capsule (a cup-like sac surrounding the glomerulus).

Blood pressure forces water, salts, and waste products from the blood in the glomerulus into Bowman's capsule, beginning the urine formation process. The Malpighian body plays a vital role in removing waste and balancing fluids and electrolytes in the body.
