Detailed Solution

Douchala means double-roofed, and Chauchala means four-roofed.
It is known that during the 16th century, people from Western Bengal migrated to South Eastern Bengal in search of fertile Lands for surplus cultivation. After settling in these fertile lands of South Western Bengal, they flourished in social and economic terms. As part of their living, they built many buildings in Douchala and Chauchala, which means double roof and four roofed building structures, respectively. However, they did not limit themselves to buildings. But they also built Douchala and Chauchala-type structures, even the temple architecture, which also had a small tower structure. These unique structures are now called the Bangla Dome with the typical Bengali style of architecture.
