Detailed Solution

Eighteen years is the minimum age for voting in India. In the 20th century, it was 21 years old in India, but the 26th amendment declared that the minimum voting age is 18 or above. Because this age is considered as mature and understanding and full of new and fresh opinions. 1989 was the year when the minimum voting age was 18. In India, a person can vote only when they complete 18. Otherwise, they can't register on the voting list. Even 18 is the most ordinary voting age in many other countries.
