Detailed Solution

As we know that if x is any number then it will be odd only if it is not exactly divisible 2, or we can say that if we divide x by 2 then it will give us remainder equal to 1.
So, if a number is a multiple of 2 (i.e. multiplied by 2) then if we divide that number by 2 then it will not give us a remainder equal to 1. So, numbers which are multiple of 2 are not odd numbers.
Now as we know that if x will be an even number then it will be exactly divisible by 2, or we can say that if we divide x by 2 then it will give us a remainder equal to 0.
So, if a number is a multiple of 2 (i.e. multiplied by 2) then if we divide that number by 2 then it will not give us a remainder equal to 0. So, numbers which are multiple of 2 are even numbers.
But questions can also have more than one answer. So, we had to check other options also.
As we know that any number x will only be a prime number if it is greater than 0 and is divisible (gives remainder 0) by 1 and the number itself (i.e. x).
But if the number is a multiple of 2 then obviously it will also be divisible by 2. So, a set of numbers which are multiple of 2 cannot be prime numbers.
Now if x is any number than x only be a composite number if it is greater than 0 and is divisible (gives remainder 0) by 1, number itself (i.e. x) and any other number less than x.
But if the number is a multiple of 2 then obviously it will also be divisible by 2 (other number less than x). But some negative numbers are also multiple of 2 and as we know that composite numbers are positive. So, a set of numbers which are multiple of 2 cannot be composite numbers.
So, numbers which are multiple of 2 are also known as even numbers.
Hence, the correct option will be 2.
