What is the NEET 2025 counselling process?

The NEET 2025 counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and admission confirmation. After NEET 2025 results are declared, counseling begins for admission into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses across India. The counseling process is done online for most of the seats.

Step 1: Registration
Candidates must register on MCC website (for AIQ) or their respective state’s official website for state quota seats. Personal, academic, and NEET details are submitted.

Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking
After registration, candidates need to fill and lock their preferred colleges and courses based on their NEET 2025 score and eligibility.

Step 3: Seat Allotment
The system allots seats based on rank, category, preferences, and seat availability. Allotment results are published on the official website.

Step 4: Reporting to Allotted College
Candidates allotted a seat must report to the allotted college within the given timeline and complete admission formalities.

Step 5: Document Verification
At the college, candidates need to produce original documents like:

• NEET scorecard
• Admit card
• Mark sheets
• Category certificates
• Domicile certificate
• Medical fitness certificate

Step 6: Upgradation Rounds
If not satisfied, candidates can participate in further rounds for better allotment like Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.

Step 7: Final Admission
Once satisfied, candidates confirm their seat and complete admission.
