Detailed Solution

We know that Newton's First Law of motion states that when object remains in the same state of motion unless a resultant force acts on object. When the resultant force on an object is zero. Then we can say that the object is known as stationary object.

If a body is stationary then its velocity and acceleration both is zero. Several forces act on it to keep it in a state of static equilibrium.

They negate each other's magnitude, and the sum of all the forces operating on it is nullified or reduced to zero.

When a body is at rest, the resultant or net external force exerted on it is zero. Thus, when the provided body is immobile, the net forces acting on it balance.

Hence, option (1) is correct.
