Detailed Solution

The period of the reign of Qutbuddin Aibak was from 1206 to 1210 AD. The first sultan of Delhi and the founder of the Slave dynasty was Qutubuddin Aibak. He was an Aibak tribe member from Turkey and the sultan for four years, from 1206 to 1210. He was kidnapped as a child and sold to the top Qazi of Nishapur, a town in northeastern Iran, as a slave. The Qazi treated him extremely well and gave him a good education, as well as early instruction in archery and riding. But after the master's passing, his envious sons sold Qutubuddin Aibak to a slave trader. Sultan Muhammad Ghori, the sultan of Ghor in central Afghanistan, eventually paid for him. Qutubuddin Aibak quickly advanced to the rank of General and established himself as one of Sultan Ghori's most reliable nobles. Aibak ascended to the throne after Muhammad Ghori died.
