Detailed Solution

Concept- Matter can exist in three forms: solid, liquid, and gas. Water can also exist in various physical states depending on its temperature and pressure conditions.
The particles that make up solid matter are closely packed, solids will maintain their shape. Solids contain particles that are not free to move. Thus, solids have fixed shape and fixed volume.
Compared to solids, the particles of liquid are widely spaced and can move from their position. Liquids take the shape of a container. Thus, liquids have fixed volume but no fixed shape.
Gaseous particles are free to move and thus do not have any fixed volume or fixed shape.
Now, through melting, a solid can become a liquid, and through freezing, a liquid can become a solid. Through a process known as sublimation, a solid can also transform instantly into a gas.
By heating a liquid under a continuous pressure until it reaches its boiling point, a liquid can be transformed into a gas. The conversion of a liquid into a gas is referred to as evaporation. Vapour is another name for a gas that is present at a temperature below its critical temperature. Through compression, a vapour can become liquid without cooling.
Now, the boiling point of water, which is 100°C , indicates that it turns into gas or vapour at temperature 100°C. The temperature in the posed question is 125°C. That demonstrates that water will be in a gaseous state physically.
Hence, option 3 is correct.
