Detailed Solution

The word Bhakti is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Bhaj'  which means ‘To divide or share’. It refers to an intimate, two-way relationship between devotees and god. Bhakti is devotion towards the chosen deity and all people irrespective of their caste and gender can follow the path of bhakti. Bhagavat is the term used to refer to the god and bhakta is used for devotees. Everyone began to devote a deity.   The bhakti movement gives freedom to all ordinary people. Either the people who were considered as low caste are also allowed to take the path of bhakti. The poor as well as the women were also allowed.
