Here, we have to find the shape of the shadow when a lighted bulb is placed over a ball.
We know that when a light source is kept in line just above the object it casts a shadow similar to the ray passing through the two edges of the object.
So, here we will draw the diagram as two rays passing through the source of light touching the edges of the ball, as shown below:
