What is the special way of coming down a mountain using a rope called?

The special method of coming down a mountain using a rope that Sangeeta madam talks about in the chapter is known as rapling or rappelling. A rope is fastened to the top of the slope and when descending the mountain the person uses that rope to climb down. The person who is coming down fully controls his/her pace when employing this method.
