Detailed Solution

The tenure of the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha is five years. The Lok Sabha and the Vidhan Sabha are the legislative bodies at the Centre and State levels, respectively. The legislative bodies are elected by the people of the country and the state accordingly. These bodies are subject to dissolution in case there is a failure in the machinery of the government or a deficit of trust. These are important institutions which deliberates and makes the law of the land. Every 5 years, an election is held for both the houses, which reconstitutes a legislative body, and a leader is elected.
