The physical displacement of animals from one location to another is referred to as animal movement. Food availability, changing seasons, breeding opportunities, and predator avoidance are all factors that can influence animal movement.

Locomotion is the movement of an organism from one location to another, either within its own environment or to another. 

Skeletal movement is the movement of bones that are linked together by joints to produce movement in the body. Mammals, birds, reptiles, and some fish are examples of animals that use skeletal movement.
Non-skeletal movement, on the other hand, excludes the use of bones and joints. It is instead propelled by muscles, which contract and relax in various ways to produce movement. Snakes, earthworms, jellyfish, and some fish species are examples of animals that use non-skeletal movement.
