The time lag between Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh is 2 hours. India extends from Gujarat in the west to Arunachal Pradesh in the north, over 29° longitude. With every 15° change in longitude, there is a difference of one hour in time. So, this longitudinal extent of India results in around two hours’ difference in time between the east and the west.
