Detailed Solution

Concept- The revolution time is the amount of time it takes the satellite to complete one revolution around the earth on its assigned orbit. The time required to complete this revolution is also referred to as the orbital period for the earth's satellite. The period of revolution or orbital period of the Earth's polar satellite is approximately 100 minutes. The polar satellite is said to take one and a half hours to complete one revolution in its orbit. To achieve this amount of time for one revolution by the polar satellite, the prescribed altitude is kept between 700 and 800 kilometres. A polar satellite travels from north to south across the poles. Because there is a fixed assigned orbit and the earth spins beneath it, a polar satellite can observe the entire surface of the earth, and it takes the satellite 24 hours to do so.
Hence, option 1 is the correct answer.
