Given that 14= 7x 10 −8   and to find value of x.
Adding 8   to both sides of the given equation,
⇒14+8= 7x 10 −8+8  
  ⇒22= 7x 10  
 Multiplying both sides of the last step by 10, we get,
⇒22×10= 7x 10 ×10  
⇒220=7x  
Dividing both the sides by 7  , we get,
⇒ 220 7 = 7x 7  
  ⇒x= 220 7  
Thus, x= 220 7  .
