\frac{x - 3}{2} = 5 + \frac{x}{3}

.
Solve the equation for x.

\frac{x - 3}{2} = 5 + \frac{x}{3}

\frac{x - 3}{2} = \frac{15 + x}{3}

Cross multiply the above equation.

3 (x - 3) = 2 (15 + x)

3 x - 9 = 30 + 2 x

x = 39
Check whether the solution is correct or not by substitution method.
LHS =

\frac{x - 3}{2}

= \frac{39 - 3}{2}

= 18

RHS =

5 + \frac{x}{3}

= 5 + \frac{39}{3}

= 18

LHS = RHS
So, the value of x is 39.
