What measures should not be taken to limit the transmission of infectious diseases in humans?

Communicable diseases, also known as infectious diseases or transmissible diseases, are illnesses caused by pathogens (such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites) that can be spread from one person to another.

Since communicable diseases are transmitted from an infected to a healthy person, it is recommended to keep the infected person in isolation till complete recovery. Maintaining personal hygiene and following good sanitary habits prevent a person from infecting others. Many diseases are caused by contaminated food and water, hence cooking food and boiling water causes the inactivation of disease-causing microbes. Vaccination is the ultimate measure to avoid infection from a causative agent against which vaccination is done, comes in contact with a healthy person. 

Ignoring the existence of infectious diseases or neglecting their potential to spread can lead to a lack of preparedness and an increase in their transmission.
