Detailed Solution

Some of the problems that India faced after independence were refugee rehabilitation and the integration of princely states.
India faced many problems after the partition and independence. These problems needed immediate attention and solutions. The first major problem was the refugees' rehabilitation. Around 8.5 million refugees migrated from Pakistan to India due to partition. They were jobless and homeless. To resettle them and provide immediate relief to the immigrants was the major problem for India. The other was the integration of princely states, as these states were under the paramountcy of the British Empire. For this issue, a separate ministry was formed on 25th June 1947, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the head of this ministry.
