Detailed Solution

Concept- Punctuation are marks that make the world understand about the purpose of the sentence. It adds clarity and preciousness to the sentence.
Punctuation gives our writing a silent way to express our feelings.
There are certain punctuation we can use for the word for example which totally depends upon the speech. Like when we use “for example” in the middle of the sentence, before the word a semicolon is used and after the word a comma is used i.e, I would recommend a low calories smoothie, for example, avocado smoothie or oatmeal smoothie.
We can even use for example at the end of the sentence with a full stop i.e, in our maths equations we use  y + y = 2y, for example.
Hence ,we use a comma(,) after the word for example is the correct answer.
