What type of disease is caused by water pollution?

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, such as lakes, rivers, oceans, and groundwater, by substances harmful to living organisms and the environment. The sources of water pollution include agricultural activities, wastewater and sewage treatment plants, industrial discharges, oil spills, and leaching from landfills and hazardous waste sites. 

Water pollution causes waterborne diseases like cholera, diarrhea, dysentery, typhoid, etc., due to contaminated water and poor sanitation. The water is impure and is not appropriately managed and cleaned, anyone who consumes it can be a victim of these types of diseases.
