Detailed Solution

The image of object formed on retina of human eye is temporary.
The image of objects formed on retina does not fade away instantly but the impression of image remains on retina for (1/16)th second. Therefore, we can see the object even if it is removed from sight. The sensation of image which lasts on retina is called persistence of vision. Image of object stays only for a fraction of seconds, after that it is cleared off from retina so that eyes could see other objects. Retina does not make permanent image it only holds it for a fraction of second. Therefore, the image formed on retina of human eye is temporary.
