Textiles and spices were exported from India through the silk route. Many types of goods were exported and imported by silk routes, either by land or by sea. In the pre-modern age spices, textiles, species of vegetables and fruits and medicinal plants were used in trade by the silk routes and were the link of connectivity among the continents and countries.
