Detailed Solution

A Spinning Jenny is a machine.
In the early 1800s, a spinning jenny was a multi-spindle machine used to spin wool or cotton. James Hargreaves received a patent for the hand-powered spinning jenny in 1770. The transformation of the spinning wheel into the spinning jenny played a significant role in modernizing the textile industry, even though the product was inferior to Richard Arkwright's water frame. By allowing a worker to work on eight or more spools simultaneously, the invention slashed the time it took to create cloth in half. This number has risen to 120 as technology has advanced. Jenny's yarn was not intense until Richard Arkwright built the water-powered frame. Nevertheless, the spinning jenny had a significant role in developing the cotton industry's industrial system.
