Detailed Solution

Dawes Plan was the American plan that helped bail Germany out of the economic crisis.
On August 16, 1924, the Allies and Germany accepted the Dawes Plan, a report on German reparations for World War I produced by a committee of specialists led by US budget director Charles G. Dawes. The plan called for the Reichsbank's reform and an initial loan to Germany of 800 million marks to jumpstart the German economy. The German Reichsbank was restructured on Dawes' recommendation, and old money was called in and destroyed. The Dawes Plan appeared to operate so successfully that by 1929, it was anticipated that Germany's strict regulations could be lifted and comprehensive reparations could be completed. This brought hyperinflation to a halt.
