Detailed Solution

Treaty of Versailles is the drawback faced by the Weimar Republic after the end of the First World War.
In January 1919, the Paris Peace Conference met at Versailles, Paris. To determine the terms of the peace following World War I, a meeting was held. The negotiations that resulted in the creation of the Treaty of Versailles, which put an end to World War I, were determined in this meeting. The Versailles Treaty was viewed as a ‘dictated peace"’ by the newly elected democratic government in Germany. The majority of Germans felt particularly oppressed by the war guilt clause, significant reparations payments, and restrictions on the German military.
