Detailed Solution

The German Parliament was called the Reichstag. Following the defeat of the Central Powers in the First World War and of Imperial Germany, Germany saw the emperor's abdication. This abdication of the emperor allowed the parliamentary parties to recast the German polity. As a result, a democratic constitution with a federal structure was established in Germany by the National Assembly, which met at Weimar. After this, deputies were regularly elected to the German Parliament, also known as the Reichstag. This was done through a system of equal and universal votes cast by all adults, including women.
