Detailed Solution

The Lodhi dynasty was the last ruling family of the Delhi sultanate of India. The dynasty ruled Delhi from 1451–1526. The first Lodhi ruler was Bahlūl Lodī, the most powerful of the Punjab chiefs, who replaced the last king of the Sayyid dynasty in 1451. And the last ruler of the Lodhi dynasty was Ibrahim Khan Lodi who reigned for nine years until 1526 when he was overthrown and killed at the Battle of Panipat by Babur's invading army.
