Detailed Solution

The French Constitution of 1791's main aim was to establish constitutional monarchy and sovereignty. The Constitution that established the separation of powers between the legislative, executive and judicial branches was introduced by the National Assembly during the French Revolution. The Constitution's founding document, the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen of 1789, outlined the citizens' rights. As a result, the feudal system that granted privileges to the nobles and clergy was not only curtailed but also abolished. However, the Constitution's goal was to limit the king's authority and help the government run efficiently in accordance with the Constitution, not to depose him or make him more powerful.
