Detailed Solution

The main objective of the Treaty of Vienna was to undo the changes brought about by Napoleonic Wars.
The Treaty of Vienna in 1815 was a significant consequence of the Battle of Waterloo that defeated Napoleon. Napoleon Bonaparte, who occupied France after the Revolution, abolished clerical and noble privileges and the feudal system. Hence, the conservative ruling classes were frightened and gathered European representatives to fight against Napoleon and restore the conservative monarchs that Napoleon once overthrew. Moreover, the ruling elites were exhausted by the liberal and republican ideology of the French revolutionaries of 1789. Thus the Vienna Congress was convened and hosted by Austrian Chancellor Duke Metternich. Consequently, the delegates drew up the Treaty of Vienna that restored the Bourbon dynasty and undid the changes made by Napoleon.
