Detailed Solution

National Socialist German Workers' Party was the name given by Hitler to the German Workers' Party. Germany's economic, political, and social crisis led to Hitler's rise to power. When the First World War broke out, he enlisted in the army, served as a messenger on the front lines, rose through the ranks to corporal, and was given bravery awards. He was frightened by Germany's defeat and angered by the Versailles Treaty. In 1919, he joined the German Workers' Party, a minor organization. He later took over the party and renamed it. This group later came to be known as the Nazi Party.
