Detailed Solution

The objective of the Simon Commission was to suggest changes in the constitutional system of India.
A Statutory Commission, headed by Sir John Simon, was established by Britain's newly elected Tory government in 1928. The Commission was established in reaction to the nationalist movement. It was tasked with reviewing how India's constitutional system operated and making recommendations for improvements. The issue was that there was not a single Indian member on the Commission. All of them were British. "Go back, Simon" slogans were raised at the Simon Commission when it arrived in India in 1928.
