Detailed Solution

Duma was the parliament of Russia.
A duma is a Russian assembly that serves as a legislative or consultative body. The word is derived from the Russian verb "to think" or "to ponder". Emperor Nicholas II established the Imperial State Duma in 1905, the first Duma to be appropriately appointed. The State Duma is one of the Federal Assembly's chambers in the Russian parliament. Four hundred fifty members of this legislative body are chosen to serve terms of five years. Later in 1906, delegates to a second Duma were chosen, although they were considerably more radical than those selected for the first Duma. However, due to the delegates' unwillingness to reach an agreement with the Czar and one another, the Czar swiftly disbanded  Duma.
