When Moran conducted cross between true breeding white eyed miniature winged female Drosophila and Red eyed and long winged male he obtained red eyed and long winged females and white eyed and miniature winged females in F₁ generation. When these F₁ individuals are inter crossed, the percentage of recombinants (white eyed and long wings or red eyed and miniature winged) formed in F₂ generation is 37.2%.
