Detailed Solution

The Mughal Emperors' primary residence was the Red Fort, also known as Lal Qila (Hindustani: [lalqila]), which is located in Old Delhi, Delhi, India. On May 12, 1638, Emperor Shah Jahan chose to move his capital from Agra to Delhi and ordered the construction of the Red Fort. The Mughal fort known as Red Fort, also known as Lal Qalah or Lal Kila or Lal Qila, is located in Old Delhi, India. Shah Jahn constructed it in the middle of the eighteenth century, and it is still a popular tourist destination. When India gained its independence on August 15, 1947, Jawahar Lal Nehru raised the Indian flag above the Lahore Gate at Lal Quila. Since then, it has become customary to raise the flag at the Red Fort on August 15th, which is also known as India's Independence Day.
